Unclogging Water

This skin-friendly toner is formulated with a classic trio of time-tested ingredients that work synergistically to fight acne, inflamed lesions, and overall skin conditions related to sebum overproduction and bacteria. It clears pores - reducing whiteheads and keratin buildup, regulates sebum production, controls bacteria, reduces the signs of redness, and promotes healing. The formula is paraben free, allergen free, alcohol free, oil-free, colour-free and vegan.

SALICYLIC ACID 2%

Also referred to as BHA or Beta Hydroxy Acid, differs from the AHAs for being oil-soluble and not water-soluble, which means it is able to exfoliate inside pores, by dissolving the bonds that hold the dead cells even in the presence of sebum and/or acne pustules. This makes it especially effective for reducing breakouts, including blackheads and whiteheads. Salicylic acid is recognized as an over-the-counter topical acne product by the U.S. FDA,
when used in concentrations of 0.5-2%. Products including more than 2% are all prescription-level or professional-only. Another unique advantage is salicylic acid’s ability to gently soothe aggravated skin thanks to its inherent anti-inflammatory properties.

NIACINAMIDE

Also known as vitamin B3, skin-restoring and multi-tasking, it works to visibly improve uneven skin tone, strengthen the barrier function, and normalize the size of pores. With continued use, it also contributes to normalizing sebum production without a drying effect.

ZINC SULFATE

Antimicrobial and bacteriostatic agent that will join forces with salicylic acid to effectively, yet gently, overcome inflammation and proliferation of acne-related bacteria. Zinc is also known for its anti-redness properties and overall pacifying effect over flare-ups, skin lesions and all dermatitis related to an over production of sebum.
